Onomatopoeia is a DC Comics supervillain who has faced Green Arrow and Batman. He was created by Kevin Smith and Phil Hester back in the 60's.

Dictionary.com defines "onomatopoeia" as "the formation or use of words such as 'buzz' or 'murmur' that imitate the sounds associated with the objects or actions they refer to."
